The scientific challenges of detecting a neurotoxic event dictate that
an effective screening protocol requires a significant number of animals to
be assessed in order to certify safety. Two proprietary methods employed by
the NTC help to ease the burden of the study protocols and allow for an
efficient solution:
The NTC's
disintegration stain requires only about
25% number of animals to be used in the study design due to it's broad
timeframe of detection (as compared to typical methods like H&E). Each
dosing group has twice the coverage capability for viewing the neurotoxic
event, and far fewer negative control animals are required due to the
conclusive pathological assessments enabled by the high signal to noise
nature of the stain.
MultiBrainTM technology
is a high throughput tool designed by
NeuroScience Associates
that enables the neurohistology to be performed at
up to 25 times the speed of traditional methods. |
